Job Description
Amgen is hiring for the position of Bioinformatics & AI Engineer in Hyderabad, India. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity within the Computational Biology, Precision Medicine team.
The role focuses on building, evaluating and deploying deep learning and foundation-model-enabled systems for biomarker discovery, translational research and clinical development. The selected candidate will work with genomic, multi-omics, imaging and clinical data to create reliable and traceable scientific solutions.
Candidates should have a Master's or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Genetics/Genomics or a related discipline, along with 7+ years of hands-on experience building bioinformatics, machine learning, data science or research software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, validate and operate foundation-model-enabled applications.
- Work with biological foundation models.
- Evaluate AI systems for biomedical applications.
- Support patient stratification and scientific decision-making.
