As a Certified Medical Coder, you’ll be responsible for translating scientific documentation into standardized codes used for billing, compliance, and reporting. You will evaluate scientific information, perceive correct method and prognosis codes, and artwork intently with healthcare providers, pharmacists, and billing companies to ensure accurate and timely compensation.

  • Review scientific information and documentation to assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
  • Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with federal policies, payer hints, and Kroger necessities
  • Support accurate and well timed billing of scientific and pharmacy claims
  • Communicate with healthcare vendors to make clear documentation while needed
  • Maintain up to date know-how of coding hints, payer policies, and enterprise first rate practices

✅ Required Qualifications

🎓 Education & Certification:

  • High college diploma or GED required
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equal required
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related area favored

🧠 Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of revel in in clinical coding
  • Experience with outpatient or retail medical institution coding strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with pharmacy-associated billing a plus

  • Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding structures
  • Excellent attention to element and accuracy
